The M5 started off as the E28 M535i at the 1985 Paris Auto Salon. It was manufactured in Dingolfing Germany. It was meant to be a decent performance car with enhanced handling, the vision was to put a BMW M1 engine in a 5 series model. It sold 2,700 units that same year at a base price of around 30 k.

Chapter 4: Marketing Environment

The M5 mainly target market is aimed at middle aged men or women who are also considered middle class who excel in their careers. It’s not considered a family car, but you’ll be able to hold a family of four riding in a safe, comfortable, luxurious, with technologically advanced dashboard, and a high performance sedan overall.

Chapter 3: ethics and social responsibility

July 2019 - B.M.W and Dalmer AG Partnership included:

-Driver assistance system

-Fully automated driving on highways

-Automated parking

However the partnership was put on hold, due to exceeding costs and the circumstances. So they put the partnership on hold and decided to just focus on the main components of the car such as adding more advanced safety features for the driver.
